IBS PROTECTION · EAST & CENTRAL LONDON
Private Events Security
Private event security should support a well-run occasion from the first arrival to the final departure. IBS Protection discusses the venue, guest arrangements and responsibilities with you before agreeing the assignment.

WHO THIS IS FOR
An organised welcome. A clear security brief.
Private celebrations, organised functions and invitation-led events
Security that fits your event
A celebration at a restaurant has different requirements from an event across several rooms or an outdoor reception. We begin with the actual setting: where guests arrive, which areas are private, when suppliers need access and who is responsible for decisions. Security arrangements should support the occasion while keeping responsibilities clear.
Share the expected attendance, event timings and any arrangements already agreed with the venue. Where a venue has its own team, we discuss how the two teams will work together. The event manager remains a key point of contact for the brief and any changes during the assignment.
Guest access and an appropriate presence
The agreed duties may include checking a guest list or tickets, overseeing an entrance, supporting a queue and keeping a designated area under observation. The scope depends on the event and is confirmed before work begins. We discuss the presentation expected of the team so the security presence suits your guests and venue.
A metal detector or professional recording equipment may be considered when justified by the brief. Equipment does not replace an assessment of the setting. Any search or recording arrangements need an agreed purpose, appropriate authority and a practical procedure. Existing venue equipment can also be discussed with the manager.
Staffing follows the brief
Guest numbers are useful, but they do not decide staffing on their own. The entrance layout, opening hours, guest profile, alcohol arrangements and duties across the site also matter. We do not promise a universal number of guards per guest or treat an online enquiry as a completed assessment.
Tell us about separate access points, busy arrival periods and any areas that need a dedicated presence. These details help the team discuss a suitable arrangement rather than assume that one officer can cover several different responsibilities at once.
Before your event is confirmed
We clarify the scope, communication arrangements, reporting contact and the venue procedures relevant to the assignment. The team uses Zello Work for operational coordination; the arrangements used at your event are discussed as part of the brief.
A direct booking normally has a six-hour minimum and must be confirmed at least three hours before the shift starts, subject to availability and acceptance of the brief. Enquire earlier whenever possible. Specialist requirements, event conditions and peak periods can affect the quotation. Sending the form does not reserve personnel.
Prepare your enquiry
Include the service, exact location, dates, shift times and the responsibilities you have in mind. Add the estimated number of officers if known. The team will clarify the requirements with you; the website does not determine staffing or confirm a booking.
