IBS PROTECTION · EAST & CENTRAL LONDON
Door Supervisor
A door supervisor helps a venue manage its entrance with a professional, approachable presence. IBS Protection discusses door supervision around your admission arrangements, opening hours and management procedures.

WHO THIS IS FOR
A professional welcome. A clear admission process.
Restaurants, bars, hospitality venues and event organisers
Door supervision that fits the venue
The entrance is often the first point of contact with your guests. We discuss how the venue operates, when arrivals are busiest and what the admission policy requires. A considered approach supports the atmosphere of the venue while keeping responsibilities and decision-making clear.
Tell us about opening and closing times, guest lists or ticketing, existing staff and any separate entrance or exit arrangements. The licence conditions and relevant venue procedures are important parts of the discussion. We do not determine the staffing requirement from guest numbers alone.
Admission and communication
The agreed role may include overseeing entry, supporting an orderly queue and communicating with the duty manager about concerns. The team needs to know who can authorise admission exceptions and how to reach the responsible manager when a decision is required.
Search arrangements, where appropriate, must have a clear procedure. Professional metal-detection equipment can be discussed as part of the brief. Its use depends on the venue, the purpose of the check and the agreed authority; equipment should not create an unsafe queue or substitute for planning.
The right people for the activity
Door supervision is a specific security activity. The required licence and competence depend on the duties and setting. We discuss the assignment so the appropriate personnel can be considered rather than assume that every security role is interchangeable.
Before deployment we clarify the reporting contact, communication arrangements and procedures relevant to the venue. Zello Work supports coordination within the team. Venue-provided equipment may also be used when agreed and appropriate for the personnel and responsibilities involved.
A clear quotation
For standard direct door-supervisor assignments, our guide is £23.75 per officer per hour with a six-hour minimum. The final quote reflects the shift, required team, location and brief. Peak demand, holiday work or additional responsibilities may require a different quotation.
The holiday guide is £43.50 per hour for Christmas assignments and £48 per hour for New Year assignments, per officer, with exact dates and hours agreed in writing. Do not assume every bank holiday, weekend or overnight shift attracts one of these rates. Subcontract work for security companies is quoted separately with an eight-hour minimum.
Prepare your enquiry
